study featuring a Department of Energy (DOE) facility
using Intellitactics Security Manager (ISM). Consensus Audit
Guidelines was developed by a consortium of security luminary
and experts and offers a baseline of security measures and
controls.
The urgent mission of the government to strengthen cyber-security is compounded
by the universal requirement to contain the costs of compliance with regulatory
standards (NIST). The Consensus Audit Guidelines, part of the US ICE Act of 2009,
calls on federal agencies to "monitor, detect, analyze, protect, report
and respond against known vulnerabilities, attacks and exploitations".
